(Incline Village, NV) In what sounds like a scene straight from a George Orwell story, the nation’s credit bureaus are, according to the Nevada based publisher of the popular "Credit Secrets Bible" home study course, using subtle propaganda to quietly change the nation’s thoughts about credit score repair. "Much like is described in Orwell’s essay ‘Politics and the English Language’, the credit bureaus are using small differences in wording to change industry standards on credit repair," states Jay Peters, President of Zodiac Publishing Corporation.
When asked for an explanation, Jay responds "The bureaus tell their customers (the creditors) in training materials that negative items on a credit report should NEVER be removed unless they are inaccurate. While this might sound right to most, it is not the whole truth according to the FCRA. The FCRA clearly states that inaccurate, incomplete, or unverified information should be deleted. The bureaus leave out two of the three terms in their documentation in an effort to change people’s thinking, and thwart the credit repair efforts of consumers."
Sound like a just another conspiracy theory? Jay doesn’t think so. "If it happened just once, a person might consider it a coincidence. But this glaring error is repeated over and over in the actual product documentation produced by the credit bureaus for their subscribers. In our 15 years of publishing the Credit Secrets Bible we have heard from countless consumers being told by bureau employees that negative information can’t be deleted unless it is determined to be inaccurate. This just isn’t the whole truth."
When asked how Americans should respond to this issue, Peters stated that first and foremost consumers with bad credit should NOT wait until the economy to improve to start working on their credit. "Some people’s credit is nose diving right now, and the typical reaction is to hide in the closet for a few years until the economic troubles pass. This is the worst thing a consumer can do." Jay believes that this "propaganda" from the credit bureaus is just more reason for consumers with bad credit to start the credit repair process now. "It’s time for consumers to educate themselves, and start digging out of the hole. Don’t wait until the ship has it the ocean floor to decide on an escape plan… if you do, it will be too late. Start planning now. Start working on your credit now."
According to Jay, people who act now could, in a few short years, find themselves in a position to buy a home at up to 85% off 2005 prices. For this and many other reasons, Jay feels consumers should start the process of fixing their credit as soon as possible. "Your bad credit may hold the key to your future success," he says. To help consumers get a jump start on credit score repair, Jay’s company now provides free reports and videos at their website, creditsecretsbible.com.
