Ms. Smitherman is now handling the firm’s foreclosure defense and consumer bankruptcy portfolio. Ms. Smitherman only represents homeowners facing foreclosure and offers her experience to help homeowners understand their rights, negotiate with lenders to resolve mortgage defaults, and fight predatory lending practices by banks and other lenders.

Additionally representing clients filing for bankruptcy, Ms. Smitherman is dedicated to providing competent legal advice to consumers in all consumer bankruptcy matters. Ms. Smitherman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies in May 2005 and went on to obtain her Juris Doctor in May, 2008 from Stetson University College of Law.
