In 2002, after a year of studying market needs, car-owner interests and market niches, the Revolution Gauge Division was formed within Speedhut to bring research, design, manufacturing, testing and marketing together for Speedhut’s new electronic gauge series.

Founder, Aaron Westberg, comes from a long line of gauge professionals. Aaron was involved in his Grandfather’s and father’s business, Autometer products, before embarking on his own gauge odyssey shortly before their company sold. Now nearing Speedhut’s first decade of success and growth in the extremely competitive gauge manufacturing market, they continually strive to stay ahead of the competition with innovative designs, solid engineering and manufacturing all of their products in the USA, including their popular and high-quality speedometers and gauge faces.

American engineering, American manufacturing . . . What a concept! Each Revolution gauge is meticulously built at Speedhut’s production facility in northern Utah. They take great pride in designing and developing everything in-house. There’s no outsourcing of any gauges to contract manufacturers, and all assembly, calibration and final testing is done in-house. The result is a higher quality product that is still affordable to quality-conscious drivers who love their cars but hate high prices.

All of their gauges utilize the latest in surface mount technology, and microprocessor controlled stepper gauge movement that isn’t fazed by temperature or vibration extremes. Each gauge is then assembled in an extremely shallow instrument case. That means when you’re installing one of their tachometers, the shallow design allows for easy-on-the-knuckles mounting in your instrument panel. Each final product is then rigorously tested before being sold, which allows Speedhut to confidently offer a lifetime guarantee on every gauge.
